Il Pingro is a project built around the table, good food, wine, human connection and a genuine sense of welcome. Moved by childhood memories, Chiara and Margherita returned to Maremma in 2020. They restored their family’s rural house and took over the small vineyard planted by their grandfather, where they began making their own wine. Il Pingro is a project rooted in memory with love for the past, centred on hospitality that is personal, warm, and heartfelt.
Today, Il Pingro moved to an elegant farmhouse just a short distance away, owned by a historic family of the Maremma Grossetana. Casa Cometa is part of a larger farm known for its commitment to circular agriculture and sustainable livestock farming. The house is shaped by light and time. A place to host friends and guests, enjoy wine, cook, experiment, connect with people or just pause and listen to the sound of cicadas.
